I went back to work full time at a "real job" last month. As a family we decided that we just couldn't wait for the "what if's". It was important for me to be bringing in some kind of income. Luckily, the place I was laid off from started hiring again and I got rehired!
I'd like to think that babee cakes will still someday become a reality. I think now is just not that time. My kids aren't quite grown enough for me to be away as much as I would be. Besides the fact that it's dang expensive to start up a business like this!
So, I'll keep on baking for friends and family (and myself!!). I'll update with little tid-bits here and there, but for now this is my reality (I gotta help keep a roof over these guys!)

ReplyDeletei like to think that if the chance comes along to have a family, i'll love that....and when the kids are older, if we're so blessed, then after they've grown some, then i can see about starting up a little coffee shop:) who knows?! who knows. :) i DO know that someday i'm going to come down to TX and have some cupcakes with you! that would be lovely. :)
